HOW TO GET THERE

You will find the Adventure Forest Sommerberg right next to the lookout tower of Treetop Walk Black Forest. With its play and learning stations which are mainly made of wood, this huge playing paradise fits perfectly into the pine-green forest wilderness of the surrounding area. Be it by public transport, camper or car: The excursion destination for families with children on the Sommerberg in Bad Wildbad, only about 25 kilometres in the south of Pforzheim, is easily accessible.

We suggest you take the S6 city train from Pforzheim. Exit at Uhlandplatz (Sommerbergbahn), which is very close to the cable car station.

There is a limited number of parking spaces available (subject to charge) directly on the Sommerberg.
Information on further parking areas and the Sommerbergbahn is available at www.bad-wildbad.de.

Arrival by bus

There is a turning area for coaches on the Sommerberg car park for boarding and leaving the bus, but it is not possible to actually park it there.
There is parking for buses in Bad Wildbad at the end of the train station in Ladestraße.
For this purpose, please follow the signposts to the parking garage “Stadtmitte”.
There are drop-off areas for tour groups at the train station (approx. 10 minutes’ walk from the Sommerbergbahn valley station) and in Kernerstraße, across from the entrance to the Palais Thermal (approx. 2 minutes’ walk from the Sommerbergbahn valley station).

Arrival by camper

Unfortunately, motorhomes are not allowed on the Sommerberg. Parking is available near the spa resort park. Further information can be found at www.bad-wildbad.de.

Is the Adventure Forest open during bad weather?

Is the Adventure Forest open during bad weather?

During the season, the Adventure Forest on the Sommerberg is also open in case of rain.

We only reserve the authority to close the adventure forest for safety reasons in the event of thunderstorms, hail or storms. If we will have to do so at short notice, we will inform you on our website as well as on Facebook and Instagram. We recommend checking again on the day of your visit before you leave!

Do you have any food and drink on offer at the Adventure Forest Sommerberg?

Our Futterkrippe kiosk at the entrance to the Adventure Forest offers light meals, ice cream and refreshments. You are also welcome to bring your own picnic. We have placed the seating in a way that you can keep an eye on the playground equipment at all times.

Can I bring my dog to the Adventure Forest Sommerberg?

We kindly ask for your understanding that dogs* and any kind of animals are unfortunately not allowed inside the Adventure Forest.

Alongside the hygiene aspect, the safety aspect for the children plays a major role in the prohibition of animals. Most responsible owners keep a close eye on their animals, but dogs can still show unexpected social behaviour towards strangers and also towards members of their own species.

*Exception: disabled companion dogs and care assistance dogs.
